Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a general term used by doctors to refer to a set of neurological conditions that affect movement and co-ordination. Neurological conditions affect the brain and nervous system. Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to the brain, which normally occurs before, during or soon after birth.
Our Care Team are trained to assist residents to manage symtoms, some of whom may require 24-hour care.
Depending on the care needs of each individual resident we can offer a passive or more intense physiotherapy programme to improve strength and mobility together with speech and language therapy and special diets for those with swallowing difficulties.
