Post Surgery Recovery, Reablement and Rehabilitation

This care is also known as Enhanced Recovery, Step-Down/Step-Up and Intermediate care. At the Drake Unit we aim to reduce the potential for post-surgery complications such as fever, atelectasis, wound infection, embolism and DVT. We offer structured reablement  programmes and services.

Our team are trained to assist residents to manage symptoms, some of whom may require one-on-one 24 hour care.

Depending on the care needs of each individual resident we can offer a passive or more intense physiotherapy programme to improve strength and mobility.
